On our first Open Garden Night many of you were admiring the Lilies in the gardens. You wanted to know how to keep the red Lilly beetle at bay. Here is the home owner’s recipe for a solution:
The recipe that I use on my lilies is:
- take one egg, beat in one Tablespoon baking powder add one liter water
- put solution in a spray bottle and spray on lilies
- you can let the solution age. Store in a garden hut or the garage and let it age, the solution works better as it gets older and stinkier.
